Abstract
The end goal of endodontic treatment is to form a homogenous unit and achieve a fluid-tight seal in the root canals. The adhesion of the sealers to root dentin is important to avoid microleakage. With the introduction of the concept of bonding, the idea of creating a mechanically homogenous ‘monoblock’ unit has gained momentum. This review article aims to provide a panorama view of the monoblock concept and it’s types along with the drawbacks of this system.
